The simple goal of my barefoot trimming process is to give your horse the healthiest hooves possible by imitating natural hoof wear found on wild horses. I accomplish this goal by carefully inspecting your horse, using nippers, rasp and knife to manage its hooves' and documenting the process over time with photographs.
Another term for this approach is "natural hoof trimming". More and more horse owners are finding that it results in exceptional hoof quality and health.
I am a barefoot hoof trimmer based in Kamloops, British Columbia. I would be pleased to work with you to give your horse beautiful, naturally healthy hooves. As a student, I have gained valuable experience through study and practical work with horses, and I look forward to using that experience to the benefit of your horses.
There is more to natural hoof trimming than simply filing down the edges of your horse's hooves. My rates are affordable for both horses and ponies it is easy for you to get high-quality trimming from a skilled hand. With the advantages of my careful documentation and continued inspection of each hoof's progression, this will provide more assurance to monitor, improve and maintain the horse's health over the long term.
